Quality results begin with proper preparation. Every project follows a proven process designed to maximize coating adhesion, durability, and appearance. We have two primary stages that we follow for all projects completed in our Indianapolis facility:

Before work begins, we inspect the item and assess its condition, material, size, existing finish, and any repair needs. Preparation may include removing old paint or powder coating, treating rust, resurfacing, chemical washing, stripping, or surface blasting.

For large items or assemblies containing parts that cannot be powder coated, customers should remove those components before bringing the item to CTSA whenever possible. Because storage space is limited, we recommend bringing only the parts that will actually be coated.

Once the surface is properly prepared, powder is applied electrostatically and cured in a high-temperature oven. Depending on the project, the coating may require one or more colors, coats, or finishing steps.

The curing process creates a durable finish that bonds tightly to the metal and offers strong resistance to chipping, scratching, chemicals, UV exposure, and everyday wear.
